Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Rising Pilot, along with our subsidiaries and affiliates (we'll call ourselves the "Company", "we", or "us"), collect, use, and share your personal and non-personal information. That covers everything—any tools, websites, apps, products, or services we offer. When you access or use our Services, you're agreeing to this Privacy Policy and consenting to how we handle your information. Our Terms of Service, which you can find at risingpilot.com, work alongside this policy.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We collect your personal information whenever you use Rising Pilot applications, our tools, or visit risingpilot.com. We also gather it through your interactions with us directly and through third-party organizations—app stores, payment processors like Apple and Google, advertising partners, and credential management services such as Facebook. Your personal information might include your name, contact details, demographic information, your device's IP address, unique device identifiers, billing and financial account information, geolocation data, cookies, social media information, and your preferences. Activity data gets collected too—things like how long you're in a session, your progress through courses, and which modules you engage with. We may pick up non-personal technical information about your device and software as well. Sometimes we combine what we collect with data from third-party marketers, partners, or research firms.

COOKIES

We and third parties working on our behalf use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, and local shared objects to store or read information on your browser or device. These tools can result in collecting personal information and may deliver you personalized ads.

WHAT TECHNOLOGIES WE USE

Cookies are small files that sit on your device and remember your preferences while helping us figure out how people actually use our Services. Web beacons and pixel tags are tiny bits of code embedded in pages or emails. They collect IP addresses, page URLs, when you viewed something, and what browser you use. They help us track whether people open our emails and which pages they visit. Local shared objects—sometimes called Flash cookies—and HTML5 local storage work a lot like cookies but store themselves separately and might not respond to your standard browser settings. If you want to disable Flash cookies, there's information on that [here].

PURPOSE FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL INFORMATION

We process your personal information so we can: — Build, deliver, maintain, and improve our apps, website, and services — Support our marketing and manage our relationship with you — Enable third-party advertising, audience targeting, analytics, fraud prevention, and service improvements — Put together usage statistics and let users communicate with each other — Handle payments and provide technical support — Keep you updated about our Services — Follow the law, respond to legal requests, protect our rights and operations, and work with law enforcement — Handle business changes like mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales — Build or defend legal claims We sometimes combine the personal information we collect with data from third-party advertising and business partners.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Anything you post in public areas of our Services—message boards, chat, profiles, social media pages—becomes public and other users can see it. If you connect your account to a social media account, you're authorizing us to share information with that platform. That's governed by whatever privacy policy that social media company has.

INFORMATION SHARING

We share your information with service providers who handle payments, host our data, send emails, or analyze information for us. Advertising partners also get access when they use tracking technology according to their own privacy policies. There are other situations where we share information too. (a) When we need to for safety and legal reasons—if the law requires it, a court orders it, or we need to protect our rights, prevent fraud, or respond to government requests. (b) If we're involved in a business transition like a sale or merger, all your information including personal data could be transferred as part of that. (c) If we've de-identified or aggregated your data, we can share that with basically anyone without restrictions.

LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL INFORMATION

We mainly rely on your consent to process your personal information. Depending on where you are, we might use other legal bases too. You can withdraw your consent anytime by reaching out to our Privacy Officer—that won't affect anything we already processed legally before you withdrew it.

RETENTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We keep personal information related to a Rising Pilot application for as long as that app stays active. After that, we only hold onto it as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or if the law says we have to.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We may disclose your personal information to third-party service providers, our affiliated companies, law enforcement, or legal or financial advisors—or whenever the law requires it. We won't use or disclose your information for anything beyond what it was collected for unless you give us permission.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can ask us to stop sending you communications, remove your information, or quit hearing from us altogether. Just contact our Privacy Officer. You can also opt out of third-party ad targeting at http://www.aboutads.info/choices. Keep in mind that opting out of marketing doesn't stop the administrative or transactional messages we need to send you. Depending on where you live and what privacy laws apply there, you might also have the right to access, correct, delete, limit how we use, or move your personal information. Get in touch with our Privacy Officer if you want to request any of that.

PRIVACY OF CHILDREN

We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 without their parent's permission. If you think we have information from a child, let our Privacy Officer know and we'll delete it right away.

SECURITY

We take reasonable precautions to keep your personal information safe from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. We limit who can see it to only the people who need to. That said, no system is completely secure, and we can't promise that information traveling over the Internet will never be intercepted.

COMPLAINTS

If you have a complaint, send it in writing to our Privacy Officer at info@risingpilot.online. We'll look into it and get back to you within a reasonable amount of time. You also have the option to file a complaint with a supervisory authority where you live.

"DO NOT TRACK"

We don't pay attention to Do Not Track signals from your browser or respond to them. Want to learn more about this? Check out allaboutdnt.com.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER

Our Services run out of Canada, which the European Commission has deemed adequate when it comes to protecting data. We also work with third-party providers who might process your data outside the EEA. When that happens, we rely on adequacy decisions, EU-US Privacy Shield registration, or standard contractual clauses. By using our Services, you're consenting to your personal information being transferred and processed in Canada, the United States, or other places where data protection rules might not be the same as where you are.

LINKS

We're not responsible for how third-party websites, apps, or services handle privacy—even if they're linked from our Services. This Privacy Policy only covers information that we collect.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We might update this Privacy Policy whenever we need to. If you keep using our Services after we make changes, that means you're accepting the updated version.
